The 5 Best Crime Podcasts

Hi everyone! So as you may or may not know, my favorite type of podcasts to listen to are those based on crimes whether it be unsolved mysteries, cold cases or just the blatant telling of different cases that have happened throughout time. I thought I would share a list of my 5 favorite crime podcasts for you guys to check out if you are looking to listen to some!

1. Serial

This podcast is amazing and I basically listened to the entirety of season 1, in just a few days.

Season 1 is about the following case…. “Hae Min Lee, a popular high-school senior, disappears after school one day. Six weeks later detectives arrest her classmate and ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, for her murder. He says he’s innocent – though he can’t exactly remember what he was doing on that January afternoon. But someone can. A classmate at Woodlawn High School says she knows where Adnan was. The trouble is, she’s nowhere to be found.”

2. Up And Vanished

I finished this podcast very quickly and I highly recommend it if you like to learn about unsolved murder cases; a very similar series to Serial.

“Season 1 of Up and Vanished explored the 2005 disappearance of beauty queen and high school teacher Tara Grinstead from her home in Ocilla, Georgia. The cold case was the largest case file in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s history, with no arrests in 11 years… As the people of Ocilla began talking about the case again, new leads and stories emerged. In February 2017, the GBI arrested two suspects for Grinstead’s murder.”

3. Casefile: True Crime Podcast

Casefile is a bunch of episodes detailing different murders and cases.

4. The Vanished

This podcast is not solely about murders, it is about people who have gone missing and the evidence related to their cases.

5.  Sword And Scale

A very good and interesting podcast series of episodes talking about different crime stories! Just another one like Casefile, but with different narrators, music, set up of the episodes and so on.
