You are sleeping too much
So, I can attest to this. I used to wake up between 9:00 and 10:00 am and I recently started to get up around 7:30 am and let me tell you, my entire energy level changed! I have had so much energy lately and I get a lot more done.
You eat late
This may or may not affect you, but I have found that when I eat past 9:00 or 10:00 pm, I have a hard time falling asleep. Especially if the food is salty or has too much sugar, it is nearly impossible for me to fall asleep and sleep good.
You take sleeping pills
As melatonin is a gift from God, it is also not good to take it too much and take it too late into the evening. I notice that when I take it past midnight, I wake up very groggy and tired whereas if I take it around 9:00 pm, I feel great the next morning.
You workout early
Some of you may totally disagree with this and that is okay, I am not saying this is the reason for everyone! I just have personally found that when I workout in the morning, I spend the rest of the day feeling exhausted, even if I properly feed my body post-workout. I prefer to exercise before I go to bed as this helps me fall asleep faster and I don’t spend my day tired!
You have a sleeping condition
You could very well have sleep apnea if you are doing everything correct and getting the right amount of sleep but still spending your days exhausted. You could also have chronic fatigue, both of which you should go in to the doctor and get tested for!
